Lancaster House Hotel

“Stayed at the Hotel on 12th June for one night for my Birthday.....with my sister from the NE and my 2 daughters over from The Netherlands. The lady on reception who checked us in was wonderful.... rooms lovely, clean and comfy.... we made use of the pool, hot tub, sauna etc... all making for a lovely relaxing afternoon. The evening meal in the restaurant was super tasty.... the only downside was that the one member of staff on duty seemed to be very slow with taking drinks & food orders and had to be constantly approached to ask.... (very few people in the restaurant at the time) ? Nevertheless.... the food was 5*... a good night's sleep and breakfast the next morning was just as tasty. Thankyou to all the staff who looked after us.. I had a super birthday treat too. 5* PS. Thankyou for my Birthday Card in my room on arrival”

“This is a wonderful hotel, ideally situated for visitors to Lancaster University. Its greatest asset is its people, who are sincere and helpful. Like another reviewer, I thought the smart attire staff members wear helps take the customer experience here to another level. There was a lovely fire in the grate in the lobby, and breakfast was very good. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Complementary items in our apartment kitchen for guests staying longer and making full use of the facilities were very thoughtful. A heated towel rail in the bathroom was a nice touch. Unfortunately there were no mixer taps in my bathtub or basin. There was a nice note in my room explaining that upgrades are underway. The Lancaster House Hotel is clearly working hard to maintain a high standard, and in hospitality, this is everything. I will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.”

“Booked the Midweek Unwind at the on-site Sandpiper Health Club and was very impressed. Price included £15 towards lunch. The food was very nice and the barman/waiter was very attentive. As for the spa, the swimming pool was a good size and not too busy (even though gym members appear to be able to use it at the same time). The indoor and outdoor hot tubs were great. I didn't use the sauna/steam room, but my friend liked them. The small gift bag of toiletries was a nice touch and the spa staff were very nice too. The hotel grounds/setting are very green and nice and added to the pleasant atmosphere. I don't often write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case as I was very impressed and would warmly recommend (we were staying in a caravan on Morecambe Bay and wanted to visit a spa we could reach by taxi).”
